L’implication de l’anthropologue dans le champ scientifique : l’exemple de la Commission Nationale de la Décentralisation du Burkina Faso

Abstract

An analysis of state administration reforms in respect of decentralisation in Burkina Faso gives rise to thought about politics and anthropology. The creation of rural communes was entrusted to a team of social scientists. In the light of a seven year collaboration between them and politicians the validity and efficacy of interaction and its eventual impasse are examined. Solid data allows for debate about both fundamental as opposed to action research and implication versus application.
