SOCIO-ECONOMIC DAMAGE FROM ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AS A THREAT TO THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF RUSSIA

Abstract

This article discusses the main problems associated with road safety in Russia and the Krasnodar region. The high mortality of the population as a result of road accidents leads to a decrease in the demographic situation in the country, poses a threat to the socio-economic security of Russia, and indicates that the legislative measures taken at the present time are not enough to reduce the accident rate. A number of economic, legal and social measures aimed at minimizing violations of traffic rules by citizens and increasing social responsibility of society and as a consequence increasing the level of safety on Russian roads are proposed.
