PROJETO MULHERES DA PAZ: uma mirada de gênero
Abstract
This article, brings reflection on the Brazilian government public policies for women, more precisely, the Project Women for Peace, a public policy of the National Program for Public Security with Citizenship - PRONASCI, of the Ministry of Justice, from our experience as facilitators of the training workshops sponsored by the Department of Social Development and Fight Against Poverty - SEATS in partnership with the NGO AVANTE, to 48 women living in the neighborhood of São Cristovão, in Salvador / BA. It concludes that, by concentrating efforts for women to act as mediators in conflict zones, through the performance of activities based in traditional roles of care and education of young people, who are historically and socially assigned to women, the project, while contributing to the improvement of their living conditions, not enhances their empowerment and autonomy.
