Présence et image de l’Espagne dans les titres de presse français
Abstract
This work presents a descriptive and exploratory analysis of the media coverage of Spanish current events over a one-year period (March 2015- March 2016) in the headlines of the French newspapers Le Monde, Le Figaro and Libération. A first part is devoted to providing a theoretical reminder of the concept of « headline » itself. This is followed by a statistical analysis of the headlines in order to pinpoint the most and least recurring topics dealt with. Finally, the study focuses on a discursive analysis of the headlines that contribute thereby to create a representation of Spain in France.
