Information and communication technologies (ICT) are identified as a decisive managerial tool in the management of business processes. This article confronts the technological infrastructure component and the variables related to: Capacity of computer systems, communications, use of technologies and management applications for the productive fabric of the municipality of Ocaña evaluated between the periods 2010 and 2015. The importance of quantifying and compiling the information obtained was based on the descriptive research model. The findings detected confirmed the pressing need for the incorporation and adoption of new technologies and information systems, whose improvement action depends on the strategic role that top-level managers must assume in strengthening the technological infrastructure and business innovation.
