During the present study, Kinnow seeds were studied in terms of their bioactive profile and antioxidant properties. Seeds extracts prepared in water, ethanol, ethanol (50%), methanol and methanol (50%) were screened for bioactive compounds (condensed tannin and total phenolic content) and antioxidant properties. For the estimation of antioxidant properties in Kinnow seed extracts five antioxidant assays [DPPH (2, 2 diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl), FRAP (ferric reducing antioxidant power), ABTS, RPA (reducing power activity) and TAC (total antioxidant capacity)] was performed. Among studied seed extracts those which were prepared in methanol (50%) showed significantly higher TPC value (8.95 mg GAE/g) and antioxidant properties. The correlation observed in TPC and antioxidant properties was (DPPH, r= .996, p< 0.01; ABTS, r= .997, p< 0.01; TAC, r= .990, p< 0.01; RPA, r= .993, p< 0.01; FRAP, r= .975, p< 0.01). Observation of present study demonstrated that Kinnow seeds could be used in the preparation of antioxidant rich low cost cosmetic, dietary and other supplements of pharmaceutical importance.
