Dislocations of the tibialis posterior tendon (TPT) is described as a rare complication, but several case studies and articles have been published on the matter1. The flexor digitorum longus tendon (FDLT) is situated posterior to the TPT. There are articles describing luxation of the FDLT, but only accompanied with a TPT luxation2. We present in this case report an isolated luxation of the FDLT tendon and to our knowledge, it has not previously been reported. The case report includes a comprehensive description of the surgical treatment of the injury with intraoperative photos. We also present the radiographic evaluation of the injury using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pre and post-operatively. The aim of the case report is to aid other surgeons in surgical treatment and post-operative care. The patient was followed up for 1 year following surgery and has returned to sports at 1 year.
