KINEMATIC DESIGN OF RAPIER DRIVE MECHANISMS WHICH CONTAIN CAM MECHANISM AND ANALYSIS OF RAPIER MOTION CURVE

Abstract

In this paper, kinematic design and analysis of rapier drive mechanisms which contain cam mechanism are aimed. For this purpose, the rapier motion curve is obtained firstly and then the rapier drive mechanism is divided into three sub mechanisms and the design and analysis equations are derived. Rapier motion curves obtained from these equations are analysed and the effects of sub mechanisms on rapier motion curve are investigated.
