Floristic and ecological characteristics of algoflora of different types of reservoirs of the West Zarafshan Ridge (Uzbekistan)
Abstract
This article provides a final study of the algal flora of different reservoirs of the West Zarafshan Range. The taxonomic, floristic and ecological features of the reservoirs were analyzed. In the studied reservoirs, 217 species of algae were identified, belonging to 5 divisions, 11 classes, 37 orders, 57 families, 97 genera. During the study, leading taxa (families and genera) were analyzed. The number of monotypic and less polymorphic taxa has a relatively large proportion compared to the total algal flora, which indicates a high biodiversity of algal flora. The highest indicators of the coefficient of similarity of the species composition of the studied reservoirs were noted in the Karatepa reservoir, Amankutansai (0.4) and Kuzichisai (0.35). This is explained by the fact that both streams flow directly into the Karatepa reservoir. The Muminabad reservoir has the lowest similarity coefficient with other reservoirs (0.15), which is caused by its geographic distance from other reservoirs, usually low water levels by the middle of the year, as well as the relatively smaller number of studies conducted.
