Initial training of the pedagogues for the use of TICs in the school context: practical and theoretical subsidies in teaching practices

This research aimed to analyze how the Pedagogy Course of the Faculty of Education (FACED) of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) has contributed to the initial training of pedagogues for the use of TIC in the school context. To this end, a qualitative investigation was chosen. As a methodology, document analysis and semi-structured interviews were used. The data showed that the PPC prescribes the importance of training future teachers who understand TICs as mechanisms for improving teaching action. However, it was identified that in the disciplines that discuss this theme there are no clear indications regarding the use of new technologies in different fields of action of pedagogues. Thus, it is concluded that there is a gap between what is proposed in the PPC of this course, with regard to the importance given to TICs, and what is accomplished in the pedagogical practice of their disciplines.
