¿Qué puedes aportar tú realmente?=¿What can you really contribute?
Abstract
El artículo que se presenta tiene como objetivo introducir una serie de preguntas que se derivan de un contexto en el que somos lo que trabajamos porque el trabajo se ha convertido en centro articulador de la vida, en la escala de lo que valemos; ¿qué fuerzas actúan para que sigamos perpetuando esas formas de vida? ¿Por qué seguimos enganchadxs a ese ideal de la buena vida que supone el trabajo estable? A partir de una investigación artística autoetnográfica alrededor de las ficciones que nos construimos de nosotrxs mismxs en los procesos de selección laboral, trato de comprender cómo y por qué quedamos atrapadxs en una realidad que nos impide prosperar. The presented article aims to introduce a series of questions that derive from a context in which “we are what we work” because labour has become the articulating centre of life, the scale of what we are worth; what are the forces at play to keep us perpetuating these ways of life?; why are we still trapped in the ideal of a stable job as the good life? Through an auto-ethnographic artistic research into the fictions we construct of ourselves in the processes of job applications, I try to understand how and why we remain trapped in a reality that prevents us from thriving.
