Risk due to landslide on the slope of the eastern sector of the municipality of Ocaña
Abstract
In Colombia, the problem of risk due to mass removal phenomena is not only the product of physical and natural factors but also of anthropic intervention, which in turn is due to social, economic and political factors. The problem being addressed is related to the determination of the risk due to mass removal processes on a slope in the eastern sector of the municipality of Ocaña, in which landslides have occurred that have had their triggering factor in the rains and unsuitable terraces for housing construction. The development of the study included field, laboratory and information processing work, which made it possible to determine the stability of the slope applying two methodologies, one quantitative through modeling through software and the second qualitative through valuation factors. This last method incorporates a greater number of variables related to the conditioning factors and triggers of the stability of a slope, establishing which factors are the most relevant for the stability of the slope and mitigation works to be implemented according to the level of influence of each factor. . It was determined with the study that a part of the hillside is under threat with a high risk level.
