"Friction characteristics of fluoroether rubber under reciprocating motion "
Abstract
The stress-strain curve of fluoroether rubber was obtained through mechanical performance testing, and a two-dimensional axisymmetric model of the fluoroether rubber dynamic sealing system was established using the Ogden hyperelastic constitutive model. The distribution of Von Mises stress and contact stress of fluoroether rubber under different compression ratios were analyzed by Abaqus software. The results showed that after assembly, the contact stress distribution of fluoroether rubber decreased in a parabolic shape from the centerline to both ends, and the contact stress of the inner side of the installation groove was always greater than that of outer side of the installation groove. The Von Mises stress on rubber increased with the increasing compression ratio. The sliding friction coefficient at the sealing surface of flurane rubber was variable and tended to decrease at both small and large compression ratios.
