This work aimed to analyze the chemical and granulometric stabilization of gravel for forest roads through the use of concrete. The sample was analyzed according to DNIT’s (2006) granulometric range; related to its natural granulometric characteristics and also when Portland CP II E-32 concrete is mixed to it as a chemical additive, representing 4% of the dry soil mass. The development of this analysis was based on the gravel characterization followed by the compaction tests, the California Bearing Ratio and Unconfined compressive strength. The results found from the ISC analysis are above 300%. For the RSC tests that were stabilized and cured for seven days, the results were below standards. The change of the applied energy, from intermediate to modified, might be a more suitable solution to this issue compared to the increase in the amount of concrete, due to its cost. Therefore, these materials, when mixed with concrete, present high support and resistance capacity, which indicates good parameters related to stability and erosion, meaning smaller amounts of the material would be lost due to water precipitation.
