Introduction In relation to the psychotherapeutic process, studies have investigated the influence of personality variables (such as socio-economic background, attachment styles, status differences, race, gender) on the one hand, and training orientations (such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, psychodynamic, gestalt, systemic), on the other, but results have been largely inconclusive and ambiguous.
