Vertical shaft machines. State of the art and vision

Abstract

This paper illustrates five different projects that are partly already completed or still in the planning phase. These projects demonstrate potential applications in the mechanical shaft construction and highlight different requirements that have to be met by the tate-of-the-art machine technology.
