on the theory of generations (authors: William Strauss, Neil Howe). The article highlights the features of the concept of “information pedagogy”, defines its objectives, the ways to solve them as primordial quality of the educational process in the development of the information society; attempts to explore the theory of generations developed by William Strauss and Neil Howe, as well as offeers the vectors of its integration in the educational process. Strauss and Howe point out that clear boundaries, separated one generation from another, do not exist. The rhythm of generations’ development can not be predicted in advance, as in physics or astronomy, but it is similar to biological cycles, which can distinguish intervals. Scientists compare the length of the cycles with the seasons, as well as winter may start earlier or later and be more or less severe in a given year, the change of cycles starts at different times. In theory generations, as noted by Strauss and Howe, every four generations make up cycle. Time period in which representatives of a generation were born, is about 20 years, the length of one cycle is 80-90 years. Perhaps, that is why most of the classics of literature remain relevant and clear even after a century, since human society is cyclical. It is examined and studied the so-called theory of generations, which proves that human history is inherent cyclical. Those who do not know their past can not build their own future. It is better to learn from the mistakes of past generations, and be understanding to the challenges of generation that is growing and is considered wiser and more rational than the previous one. Thus, information pedagogy which cares of communication and development of methods, tools and techniques of transferring of information experience from generation to generation, should be based on the principles of the theory of generations to successfully integrate into the educational environment.
