El Poema de Alfonso Onceno. Estudio de la autoría de la obra: de Rodrigo Yáñez de Zamora a las circunstancias históricas de su escritura

Abstract

This study, after analyzing the various hypotheses on the authorship of the Poem of Alfonso Onceno (c. 1350), proposes Rodrigo Yáñez de Zamora as its creator. His biography is traced, especially his links with the Templars, with Portugal, with the Military Order of Christ and with King Denis of Portugal, as well as with María de Molina, being highlighted his condition as a freire, soldier and religious man. After studying the relationship of these vital circumstances with the work, it can be concluded that many of them coincide with the themes developed in the poetic composition.
