The Effectiveness of Self-monitoring Education with Islamic Meditation Approach on Psychological Security and Religious Adherence in Students

In the present study, the effect of self-monitoring training with the Islamic meditation approach on psychological security and religious adherence in female students of Payam Noor Kurdkovi University has been investigated. The research method is quasi-experimental, pre-test and post-test design with a control group, and the statistical population includes 675 female students of Payam Noor University in the city of Kurdkoy in the academic year of 2021. The sample size was randomly selected in two groups (25 people in the control group and 25 people in the control group). The data collection tools included the questionnaires of "Religious Commitment" by Jan Bozurgi (2009) and "Psychological Security" by Maslow (2004) and the intervention tools included the content of self-monitoring training sessions with an Islamic meditation approach according to the model of Nosrati, Jafari Ardi and Ghobari Bonab (2020), has been in eight sessions of ninety minutes. The analysis of the data has been done through an analysis test and the findings show that self-monitoring training with an Islamic meditation approach on the components of psychological security, including reducing the feeling of unhappiness, environmental incompatibility and improving people's view of the individual in the female students of Payam Noor Kordkoi University. It is effective; Also, based on the findings of the research, self-monitoring education with the Islamic meditation approach has a significant effect on the components of religious adherence (religious adherence, ambivalence and religious non-adherence) in the female students of Payam Noor Kurdkovi University.
