Loricaria Wedd. ( Asteraceae ), is an illegitimate homonym of Loricaria J.V. Lamour., currently considered a synonym of Himanthalia Gray ( Himanthaliaceae , Phaeophyta ). Consequently, the replacement name, Andicolea , is proposed.
