A case series of clinical and hematological profile of juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia
Abstract
Background: Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) is a rare myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative disease. Primordial mutations observed are most typically associated with the RAS/MAPK pathway. Recent advances have also uncovered a collection of recurrent secondary mutations that play a significant role in prognosis. Case report: The aim of this study is to present the clinical and hematological profile and management of six cases of JMML diagnosed at our center. The median age was 5 years (1–7 years). Two (2/6) children underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
