INFLUÊNCIA DAS ESTRATÉGIAS E RECURSOS PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DOS PROGRAMAS DE PÓS- GRADUAÇÃO DA ÁREA DE ADMINISTRAÇÃO, CIÊNCIAS CONTÁBEIS E TURISMO NO PERÍODO DE 2001 A 2009
Abstract
In this study, we analyzed the s trategies and the allocation of resources in the Brazilian graduate programs in the Administration, Accounting and Tourism area. The research was supported by theoretical studies related to graduate assessment, CAPES evaluation system, the Higher Education Strategy and works related to the Resource - Based View - RBV. The method exploratory and qualitative study which used a multiple - case research into eight programs evaluated by CAPES in the period 2001 - 2009. As results, it was found that the programs had d eliberate strategies consistently over the years, targeting the improvement of their performance in CAPES evaluation system. As consequence, the programs improved their research structures and provided resources to their researchers, so they would could in crease the focus on research and orientation activities. It was also found that the programs that increased their grades consecutively in the three triennial of evaluation (2001 - 2009), and those who was considered excellence in research and obtained grade s six and seven in the evaluation of triennium 2007 - 2009 used the CAPES evaluation system as the strategic driver.
