The risk of an acute attack of angle-closure glaucoma during the treatment with modern antidepressant drugs

Abstract

Despite the differences in the chemical structure and pharmacological properties, the risk group for the occurrence of an acute attack of angle-closure glaucoma includes the majority of modern antidepressants. The possible mechanisms of influence of these psychotropic drugs on the intraocular pressure are discussed.
