New and little known taxa of the ground-beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) from the Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of China

Abstract

One new species and two new subspecies are described from the Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of China: Leistus (Pogonophorus) lopatini sp. n. from the western part of the Khalyktau Mt. R. between Maraltai and Aksu rivers; Carabus (Morphocarabus) tarbagataicus birlikensis ssp. n. from the eastern part of the Birliktau Mt. R., and C. (Ophiocarabus) successor koeksuensis Kabak, ssp. n. from the mountains on the right bank of the Koeksu River to the South of Tekes Town. New data on distribution in Xinjiang are given for 6 taxa: Leistus (Pogonophorus) tatianae Kabak et Putchkov, 2010 (first record from China); L. (Pogonophorus) spinangulus Reitter, 1913 (exact data are firstly presented); Carabus (Ophiocarabus) successor successor Reitter, 1896; C. (Ophiocarabus) successor aghiazicus Kabak, 2005; C. (Ophiocarabus) politulus tsanmensis Kabak, 2004, and C. (Cratocechenus) tshistjakovae Kabak, 2002.
