With the rapid development of electric passenger car, its durability has gradually attracted the attention of enterprises and related parts manufacturers, especially for the durability of electric drive assembly. In order to solve the problem of the load spectrum extrapolation in the process of life-cycle fatigue damage prediction and for better user association, a life-cycle fatigue damage prediction method based on real-road driving data has been proposed in this paper. The massive real-road data was first collected in Tianjin, China. The typical electric drive assembly operating cycle database was constructed considering the difference of traffic congestion, low speed, medium speed, high speed and ultra-high speed conditions. In addition, the multi-criteria decision method was used to calculate the theoretical cycle minimum number of each conditions, which the load mean value, load standard deviation value and load fatigue damage were selected as decision criteria. Finally, the life-cycle fatigue damage values of electric drive assembly were calculated by fatigue damage theory.
