Work, teleology and causality: the original forms of social praxis in Lukács
Abstract
This article aims at understanding Lukács' reflections on the ontological foundations of labour, taking it as the birthplace of social praxis, considering the complex chains that structure it. The exposition of the categories is anchored in the foundations of the ontology of social being. As a category guided by an increasingly social need, sustained by consciousness, mediated by nature, means and ends, work enables the emergence of social praxis, affirming teleology and causality, becoming the founding nucleus of social being.
