The First Narrative In The Literature Of The Kola Saami

Abstract

The literature of the Russian Saami is still one of the most underexamined literature, its appearance dates back to the second half of the XX century and is associated with the work of the Russian-speaking writer A. Bazhanov. The narrative “White deer” has not been the subject of literary analysis yet. Due to the study it has become possible to determine the artistic originality of the work, which is manifested in the combination of oral and poetic Sami traditions and traditions of Russian literature.
