Professor e pesquisador: considerações sobre a problemática relação entre ensino e pesquisa
Abstract
This article discusses the potential and dilemmas in the relationship between the work of the teacher and researcher. Initially, it identifies the specificities of teachers and researchers' work, and points out possibilities of connection between them. In the second part, authors dealing with this issue who have strong influence on this debate in Brazil are revisited. Subsequently we present two parts, which are mentioned in the complexities that arise in the process of articulation between teaching and researching, for, as the closing lines, pointing out a challenge to teachers and researchers to overcome the academic and scientific theorization of teaching practice, utilitarianism that commonly identifies both research practice and the education and promotion of appropriate conditions for teachers to conduct research linking teaching and research together, which will require the identification of problems that are meaningful to the school community and the scientific community and the detachment of theoretical and methodological paradigms of positivist tradition.
