Milan Stojadinovic stayed in Kosovo and Albania in 1915 and 1916, as a refugee together with Serbian government. As the president of the Government of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and the leader of the party of YRZ he approached Kosovo as a specific political, economic, and cultural problem of the Serbian and Yugoslav area and the state. That was successful and confirmed at local and parliamentary elections in 1936 and 1938. The key problem in the government and YRZ action in Kosovo during the rule of M. Stojadinovic was the coaxing of Albanian leaders, and suppression of separatist aspirations and religious intolerance.
