A review of larval host plants with some biological notes of the family Gelechiidae (Lepidoptera) in Korea

Abstract

A review of the larval host plants of the family Gelechiidae in Korea is provided. The data are mostly based on the results of the survey on the larval host plants for the lepidopteran species by the second author since 2008, and a part of them is from the previous data by the first author and co-authors. Of the 53 listed species of Gelechiidae in the present study, larval host plants for the seven known species of Gelechiidae are reported for the first time (Tabe 1). Also, 21 species, which the host plants are newly recognized from Korea in this study, are listed in Tabe 2.
