When a building got the title of historical monument it receives a “permanency right” about its environment and its permanence. This article presents an analysis methodology of the buildings we consider historical patrimony and their relationships with the landscape around, which is getting transformed by the time. The proposal is presented taking into account the history of the Pocito’s chapel in the Sanctuary of Guadalupe’s villa, considered one of the most important work in the novohispanic baroque architecture in Mexico.
