The article points out at the development of recent “documented narrations” that have nurtured a militant post-memory in non-institutional spheres of contemporary Jewish-Argentine culture. This post-memory re-evaluates the representation of the first Jewish agricultural colony of Moisés Ville. Through the analysis of a “novel without-fiction” and a featurette, it highlights the use of archives and documents to deconstruct myths and legends on which the traditional representation of the agricultural colony is based, originally founded on Alberto Gerchunoff's short stories (1910). The article proposes to read these “documented narrations” as tools for examining Jewish culture in Argentina at the time of the Bicentenary.
