Documents Retrieval System on National Institute of Polar Research

Abstract

A system of documents retrieval was established for the HITAC M-160 II computer system which is installed in the National Institute of Polar Research. The system was named POLDOR (Polar documents retrieval) and worked in retrospective search and selective dissemination of information. The information source of POLDOR is Antarctic Bibliography published by the Library of Congress, USA and is supplied by magnetic tapes.
