Abstract: This research paper aims to identify the level of learning strategies among students of the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Oran 2. To achieve the study’s objectives, the descriptive method was used and a learning strategies questionnaire as a research tool was developed. The latter consists of four dimensions: cognitive strategies, metacognitive strategies, resource management strategies, and affective strategies. The study sample comprised 200 randomly selected students. The results showed a high level of learning strategies in distance education among students of the Department of Educational Sciences. Additionally, the findings indicated the absence of statistically significant differences in the average scores of the study sample on the learning strategies questionnaire in distance education, attributable to the variables of academic level, academic specialization, or the interaction between them. The investigation concluded by suggesting several key recommendations. Keywords: Learning Strategies; Distance Education; Cognitive Strategies; Metacognitive Strategies; Resource Management Strategies; Affective Strategies.
