Lidas novamente... A escrita epistolar como prática do governo colonial

Abstract

The use of letters for the study of history and particulary for the study of the episode of invasion of Santa Catarina Island in the 18th century by the Spanish is no news. what contemporary historiographic debates allow us to perceive in these letters is the writing pratice that oriented all colonial govern, during the coming and going of letters across the Altantic. the present article shuffled through old old trunks of history and interrogated the past whith other presuppositions, conceiving epistolary writing in government pratices, thus producing meanings different from those that had until now been brought about.
