The Development of a School Management Model “HTS STEP MODEL” to Become a Quality School at Ban Huai La School, Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province

The objectives of this research were; - 1) to study the need for developing a school management model to become a quality school 2) to develop a school management model “HTS STEP MODEL” to become a quality school at Ban Huai La School, Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province, 3) to test and use of the school management model and 4) to evaluate the development of the school management model. The group of informants consisted of administrators, supervisors, teachers and students of Ban Huai La School, Ban Hong District, Lamphun Province. The research instruments were a group discussion on the needs and requirements for development, a form for model evaluation, a form for efficiency assessment, a form for satisfaction of the use of the model, and a model development assessment form. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.It was found that the school had the necessary needs to develop a school management model to become a quality school in 3 aspects; - 1) the quality of students, management processes and management. and the process of teaching and learning that focuses on learners, in administrative and management processes and the process of teaching and learning that focuses on child center. 2) The school management model “HTS STEP MODEL” to become a quality school consists of principles and reasons, objectives, guidelines and practices and an operating process of the model, the conformity check of the model consistency found that the model consistency was consistent at a very high level and the results of validation, suitability, feasibility and the utilization of the school management model was at a high level. 3). The results of the test and the use of the “HTS STEP MODEL” found that the efficiency of the school and the school administrators, teachers and the students’ was at a very high level. There was satisfaction in using the school management model at a high level. 4) The assessment of school management model development “HTS STEP MODEL” found that the context, inputs, processes, outputs and impacts, were assessed at a high level in all aspects.
