Abstract

The author reflects on the particular situation of the French language in the Portuguese university teaching system after the change of cultural paradigm and of France image among the new generations of FLE students, who are now tempted by a learning Spanish experience. Making nor-mal the hypostatic status of French lan-guage in Portugal has become an urgent task.
