This study carried out an analysis of the phytotherapic & phytocosmetic segments, from the perspective of innovation, based on the evolution of the concept of biobusiness in the Amazon. We investigated 9 companies of the proposed segments, with the purpose of knowing the dynamics of innovation in the state of Amazonas. Through this work it was possible to theoretically evolve in the construction of a bio-business concept, and through the field research it was concluded that the innovative business environment begins to gain more robustness for the researched segments. This fact becomes clear when one observes the articulation of the majority of companies with the Institutions of Science and Technology-ICT's, and the concern of the companies of phytotherapics & phytocosmetics in applying for the grant announcements. The results of this research make clear that the great demand for public notices suggests that the offer of state economic subsidy programs, in a continuous and dynamic way, can stimulate the emergence of new regional companies in the proposed segments.
