Jeux d’échelles et paradoxes territoriaux des immigrations en France
Abstract
While "immigration" has become an ever present theme in the French media, especially during election periods, its spatial complexity is often overlooked. Advocating for a strengthened geographical approach to international migration in France, the article first sets out some of the main conceptual and topical developments in this academic field. It then draws up a panorama of some of the territorial features of immigration in France, at different scales (from the state to the neighbourhood), emphasising how complex and sometimes paradoxical they often are.
