Objective: To analyze facial asymmetry of individuals with posterior cross bite by means of frontal photographs and compare the angles of eyes and mouth with the median plane of the face, to verify whether these angles are influenced by the asymmetry. Methods: Forty-one individuals were assessed. Frontal photographs were taken to verify whether there was a difference from the tracing of the interpupillary plane of the eyes and plane of the mouth (commissural line) and measure these angles in relation to the facial midline. Results: With regard to the frontal analysis of the photographs, it was verified that the data related to the angle of the eye showed no statistically significant differences (p=0.6636) between the right and left sides and the angle of the mouth (p=0.9460). Conclusion: Functional deviation of the mandible did not cause significant alterations in the analysis of the face when the angles with reference to the distance of the eyes and mouth in relation to the facial midline were analyzed.
