Structural behavior of a flexible pavement, stresses, deformations and deflections

Abstract

This research work was carried out with the support of the Research Division of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia and shows the behavior of stress states: forces, deformations and deflections acting on a flexible pavement structure. For the analysis, a typical flexible pavement structure composed of four layers was adopted: asphalt layer, granular base, granular sub-base and subgrade. Said pavement structure meets the design criteria: fatigue, deformation and deflection.
