Introduction: Master's Degree in Medical Education started in Pinar del Río School of Medical Sciences in 2009, since then, a group of professors of both Basic and Clinical Sciences has graduated, increasing the quality of the Teaching-Learning Process in all branches of the medical education in the province. Objective: to evidence the achievements obtained in the Province as a result of the teaching of the Master’s degree in Medical Education in its first two editions, its impact on the professional performance and the development of the Teaching-Learning Process, in different teaching settings. Methods: materialist-dialectic method was applied as the main one, logical-historical theoretical and the structural systemic approach, along with documentary reviews that were applied as empirical systems. Development: it is shown how the graduates of the first two editions of the Master’s degree in Medical Education at Pinar del Río School of Medical Sciences in 2009, achieved an increase in both professional and academic quality, obtaining higher scientific and teaching ranks, in the production of publications, participation in events, gaining awards, and the contribution to the rise of the teaching-learning process in its different subjects for the satisfaction of the health institutions where they offer their services. Conclusions: the Master's Degree edition in Medical Education at Pinar del Río School of Medical Sciences in 2009, has allowed the enhancement of the quality of graduates, showing its relevance and the need of continuity as a type of professional training, allowing its accreditation in 2017.
