The Hot Autumn of '23 – Can Gen. Robert Spalding be Right? Analysis of Key Political Events Affecting Global Security

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse global economic, social and political developments in the context of their impact on the situation in Europe and Poland. The source material for the study consists of information taken from internet articles and press reports, as well as studies by economic and political institutions on issues of interest to the authors. The mobile Internet is currently the strongest area of influence, as it is used by 4.6 billion people, and in Poland, in 2020, it will be used by more than 90% of the young population. To this end, an extensive screening of internet resources was carried out, focusing on content or publications containing at least one of the five defined keywords. China's involvement in the process of weakening US capabilities, not only in the military field (multiple theatres of warfare), but also in the economic field undertaken in the move away from the USD in transactions for hydrocarbons or arms, also appears to be important. As a conclusion, it should be pointed out that the current actions were initiated much earlier, but their symptoms were consistently ignored.
