In the paper tourism landscape issue is being discussed. In the paper “tourist landscape” term is being discussed. Distinction components and an understanding of the issue of that period is a very important issue from the point of view of the proper functioning of the geographical environment. Tourist landscape, created by man to satisfy his needs, should in fact be shaped in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Actions to use its resources and values should be to preserve harmony between both natural, cultural environment and socio-economic activity. The main part of the paper examines the understanding of tourist landscape and its structure within (residents and tourists/visitors). The second goal was to study how important are those elements of landscape for image and attractiveness of chosen tourist destination – town of Zwierzyniec. Opinions obtained let us ascertain how tourist landscape understood and experienced was. The study results are important and should be considered by local authorities in the strategic plans governing the proper development of the regions in the long term.
