Protocol of placement of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome with prone position
Abstract
The placement of the patient in prone position is a not invasive technology used in the treatment of Acute respiratory distress syndrome. His use goes back to the decade of the 70s of last century and is a procedure increasingly used in the units of intensive care to improve the oxygenation of these patients. With the intention of made a protocol on the technology of draft and appropriate nursing care in this type of patients, we realize a bibliographical review in specializing publications of nursing and medicine on the technology of placement, adapted nursing care and studies realized in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome positioned in prone position. The utilization of a protocol on the placement in patients in prone position who suffer acute respiratory distress syndrome minimizes the complications produced in the moment of the draft, standardizing a few appropriate nursing care adapted for these patients.
