Systematic review on ensuring the global food security and covid-19 pandemic resilient food systems: towards accomplishing sustainable development goals targets

Abstract

Highlights COVID-19 pose acute shock and persistent threat on agri-food supply chain systems disproportionately affecting developing nations. World in off track in accomplishing SDG goals in alleviating poverty, hunger, and malnutrition. Require diversified robust food production, distribution, and supply chain networks based on agroecology to combat pandemic crisis. Shifting to system thinking, holistic food system approach, and build back better system results in food system resilience. One health legislation, eco health/ planetary health paradigm to be at the centre of new global emergencies.
