Corruption, Globalization and Brazilian Criminal Law: New Challenges
Abstract
Corruption is a global epidemic that consists of one of the issues of greatest interest of the current international community. Crimes involving on illicit financial transactions, such as money laundering, hinder economic development and the provision of basic services, wearing trust in government and the Rule of Law. This paper explores the obstacles involved in the fight against corruption at the international level and evaluates the recent Brazilian initiatives in the same direction.
