In recent years in many industrialized countries, programs have been initiated that seek to establish clearly what scientific evidence can be taken as the basis for educational policy decisions. Thus, in the United States, a What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) program has been established. This program collects information from empirical studies that have met rigorous scientific criteria. In the portal mentioned above are summaries of the knowledge of educational research accumulated in various subjects: mathematics, reading, education in values, dropout, early childhood education, English as a second language, criminal behavior, adult education and learning assisted by pairs.
