Abstract
El certificado de asistencia de primera intención de un lesionado, es uno de los más trascendentes e importantes documentos médicolegales que emite el médico de asistencia, sin embargo su confección correcta dista mucho de ser la adecuada, comprobado por diversos trabajos y por la observación empírica de los que lidian cotidianamente con esto. La mayoría de estos trabajos no han sido publicados, y los que lo han sido datan de más de una década, y por tanto el acceso a esta fuente de información es muy limitada. Por otro lado el tiempo destinado en pregrado para explicar la actuación del médico de asistencia ante un lesionado y la confección de este certificado es muy escaso, apenas 90 minutos, donde es imposible imponer al estudiante de la gran trascendencia jurídica y social de esta actuación. También son escasos aún los cursos de postgrados ofertados para la solución y manejo de esta cuestión, todo lo cual nos motivó a retomar el tema para brindar una complementación en algunos aspectos y actualización en otros sobre esta temática, y que sirviera tanto a estudiantes de Medicina como a médicos de asistencia, con el fin de darles los conocimientos necesarios para que se logre calidad en la confección de este documento médicolegal. Entre otros aspectos se aclara y discuten los criterios acerca del peligro inminente para la vida, el concepto de deformidad, se ofrecen los parámetros generales para su confección asi como una serie de elementos importantes a partir de la revision de trabajos realizados por médicos, juristas y profesionales.The certificate of first aid to the injured is one of the most transcendental and important medicolegal documents issued by the physician; however, its right making is far from being the adequate, as it has been proved by different papers and by the empiric observation of those dealing with it every day. Most of these papers have not been published and those which have date from more than a decade and, therefore, access to this information source is very limited. On the other hand, the time devoted in undergraduate education to explain the acting of the physician when he receives an injured person and the making of this certificate is very little, hardly 90 minutes, and it is impossible to explain to the student the great juridical and social signficance of this acting. The postgraduate courses conducted for the solution and management of this issue are just a few. All this led us to reconsider the topic and to provide a complementation in some aspects and updating in others for medical students and physicians in order to convey them the necesary knowledge so that this medicolegal document has the required quality. Among other aspects, the criteria on the imminent danger for life and the concept of deformity are cleared up and discussed, and the general paremeters for making this document, as well as a series of important elements based on the review of papers presented by physicians, lawyers and professionals, are given.
