The present article deals with the subject of Islam and the violence.Discussion about Islam and violence is a long-standing debate. But, with developments of the world, especially inthe Muslim world in the last two decades, world people especially westerners have focused to this issue more and more and many people attack to Islamic teachings by using this situation. This article discusses about existing views on Islam and violence and their reasons.Finally,the authorprovideshischosenapproach.According to this view, Islam is not merely a religion of war and violence and it's notmerelya religion of peaceandtolerance. Islam uses from any of these items to reach its goal depending on the situation.The goal of Islam is emancipation of human from the inner and outer bondages to achieve perfection and self-actualization. The perfection of human is in obedience to God. The serving to God is the pinnacle of freedom or liberalism. With the arrival of humans to the position of thraldom, He vacates him from vices and gives him graces with perfections.In fact,by removing of internal and external barriers and providing of the thraldom terms, on one hand, Islam saves the human who is seeking of religiosity and thraldom instinctively from confusion and perplexity andleadshimtowardsaparticularpole, andon the other hand, saves human from any restrictions by connecting to the infinite divine and bringstoactuality his capability.
